Por ejemplo: Si el bagobo que va de camino oye cantar el limocon, lo primero que hace es pararse y observar lo que hay a su rededor. En este caso, si ve alli por casualidad algun animal herido o muerto, alguna culebra ó algun otro bicho venenoso; ó bien se le ofrece á la vista algun árbol caido ó quemado, etc, es señal de que el Limocon con su canto le participa que si continua su camino, la suerte que le espera es la del árbol caido, la del animal muerto, etc. y vuelve entonses atrás, diciendo que madat y limocon. Hoy, dice, tengo mal limocon: otro día veremos. Si al cantar el limocon no ve señales de mal agüero entonces, dice, madigor y limocon: Tiene buen limocon, y prosigue su camino
    Tambien dicen tener buen o mal limocon aunque no cante dicho pájaro, si les sucede algun caso cuyas circunstancias de por sí sean bastente signifcativas para ellos. Asi por ejemplo, si cuando el bagobo iba á salir de casa para emprender algun viaje, se rompe por casualidad un plato, tiene señal evident de mal limocon; y no emprende ya viaje alguno por entonces. Si iendo del camino coje con el perro algún cerdo montés o venado, es señal de que obtendrá lo que pretende, y con tan buen limocon prosegue contento su camino. Mas, si lejos de cojer el venado ó cerdo montes tras el cual ha corrido su perro, ha sido, como sucede á veces, herido el perro por el cerdo, entonces no prosigue ya su camino, porque teme no le suceda lo que á su perro.
